One of the most common questions we get from our do-it-yourself customers is why can't you just purchase an iPhone 4 front glass (also known as a digitizer)? Why must we purchase the whole digitizer and LCD assembly?

Simply put, it's impossible to disassemble the digitizer and LCD from an iPhone 4 screen. (and trust us, we've tried!). Unlike an iPhone 3G/3GS, the iPhone 4 digitizer and LCD are "fused" together making it impossible to separate. Attempting to separate the glass from the LCD will most likely result in damaging the LCD.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do not fall for eBay or Amazon sellers trying to sell you the iPhone 4 digitizer separately. The end result will be that you are left with a broken iPhone 4 Screen, and you will also be out of some money. Do it right the first time and purchase the correct part!
